#May29: KAB urges leaders to intensify performance for an enduring democracy in Nigeria
A former House of Assembly candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Kehinde Alex Bankole popularly known as KAB, has called on Nigerian and Kwara leaders to intensify efforts on performances, to enable the country and the state to enjoy dividends of democracy together.
KAB made the call on Friday, May 29 in commemoration of the celebration of Nigeria's return to democracy.
Bankole urged the Federal and State Government to deepen the tenets of democracy through an advanced, modern and globally acceptable way of governance.
“He lampooned the APC led federal government for impoverishing Nigerians in it's five years of ruling. While urging the leaders to improve in the system of governance as a panacea for economic and political advancement.
The Ekan-born construction magnate and politician advised leaders to strengthen performances as he announced his interest to steer the wheel of leadership in the coming dispensation.
His words:
"It is may 29, I greet you all and I pray we witness more of this day in good health. Today makes it five trying and tough years into Buhari's APC led administration and a year into the APC government in my dear state, Kwara. No matter the performance in governance, whether excellent, good, average or poor, there is always a room for improvement. We can do better as a country and a state. KAB is coming by His grace with the new age ideas that will take governance from analogue to digital which fits in very well in the ever evolving world," he said
